A man in his 30’s has been caught after an armed robbery in a bank on the Stillorgan Road at approximately 11.30 this morning.
Two men threatened staff and made off with a small amount of cash.
The men left in a getaway car which has been found burnt out nearby, and then sped off on a motorcycle.
The passenger of the bike was arrested near the Ringsend area by uniform Gardaí.
He is currently being held at Irishtown Garda Station under section 30 of the Offences against the state Act, 1939.
The second suspect remains at large.
A firearm and an undisclosed amount of money have been recovered.
There were no shots fired and no reports of injuries during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
